Hi, I'm Alan.
I build things that measure, connect & work.

EE student working across quantum photonics, test automation, and embedded systems — from optical experiments in the lab to hardware and software projects at home.

Gainesville, FL / alandaniel@ufl.edu

Hands-on experience

Research in practice.

Building measurement workflows and working with experimental photonic systems.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCEAug 2026 — Present

Undergraduate Research Assistant

Snowmass Lab · University of Florida

PI: Dr. Elham Heidari

  • Conduct microring quantum squeezing experiments using silicon nitride photonic resonators.
  • Built and validated a Python pipeline for oscilloscope data acquisition, alignment, and noise analysis.
  • Perform free-space alignment, photonic edge coupling, VCSEL characterization, and microprobing.
